Here are some scamming methods that many scammers use. MAKE SURE TO NEVER FALL FOR THEM!! These scams are the "modern" ones that scammers use:
Send me items scam
An easy scam for beginners is (I AM NOT TRYING TO BE A SCAM TEACHER! I OPPOSE SCAMMING!) that they say it is their birthday or I am a newbie, I am poor please send me gifts.
SOME SMART AND KEEN JAMMERS SAY: yes I need the PROOF. Sorry. Now those jammers aren't keen anymore. The scammer says: hey go to my den. see how poor i am! THE LAME THING IS THAT THEY REMOVE STUFF FROM THEIR DEN AND SAY THAT THEY ARE POOR. I bet at least one of them own 10,000 gems :).
Membership, glove and lion code scam
This is a very common scam. These scammers in Jamaa Township say: "send me rares and I will give you the lion code" or they will say " send me rares and I will give you free membership" or they will say: I will give you a member glove to non members if they send stuff. NON MEMBERS ARE THE MOST AFFECTED UNLESS YOU ARE KEEN BECAUSE I BET 100 NON MEMBERS ARE LOOKING FOR A MEMBER GLOVE. (i am not trying to say non members are not smart)
And many jammers send them like a fox hat or something thinking that scammer is awesome. And the scammer will lock his/her den and no one can enter. Now that guy is happy with his/her RARES AND STUFF. Many scammers have the lion and say for PROOF: HEY DUDE I HAVE A LION WHY DON;T YOU BELIEVE ME!? DON'T LISTEN TO THESE GUYS! YOU GET LIONS, ARCTIC FOXES AND SNOW LEOPARDS IN GIFT CARDS! THEY ARE AVAILABLE IN TARGET, TOYS R US AND WALMART!!!
Hacking scams
These are pretty rare scams! this can only be done with a hacking device and programming I believe. So many scammers hack into animal jam and make "invisible trades" like this one I got from a scammer. I DONT WANT YOU TO GET SCAMMED. HERE IS HOW INVISIBLE TRADES LOOK:
NEVER EVER ACCEPT INVISIBLE TRADES NO MATTER HOW BADLY YOU WANT TO TRADE! BELIEVE ME! YOUR ITEM WILL BE DELIVERED TO THE SCAMMER AND THE SCAMMERS ITEMS WILL STILL BE WITH THEM.
Most common scam
This is a very common scam. My question at first is: Why do all jammers like fox hats so much?
Ok. This has happened to me, and to go more deeper and intense, with my fox hat. You all know my friend Fawaz, right? if not, go to labels in my blog and look at I never scam. Ok she has a school friend called fatimesaleh whom she doesnt like much, nor do I. When fawaz was offline one day, fatimesaleh came to my den saying: hey gimme your fox hat , I wanna try it out! THIS IS A VERY COMMON WAY OF SCAMMING. NEVER GET CHEATED!!! I said: hey i am telling fawaz. And of course, I reported her. she answered me : to tell her we are best friends? Hahaha
I replied: be quiet scammer. I logged off. A week later, fawaz and fatimesaleh were online. I went to fawaz's den. She said fatimesaleh really wanted to try my fox hat. I said: ya but she is a scammer.
Fawaz : she said she would give it back though. me: ok.... Fatime: please!!!!!!!!! i promise I wont scam!!!!!!!!!!!!!! pls!!!! me: ok. I traded the fox hat for a dinner table. She wore it. 30 seconds later... me: um fatime can I have my hat. fawaz: ipod!!!! she said she is not gonna give it back!
Me: fatime! wont u give it back!? i reported her 5 times. I know that is lame. Fatime in jam-a-gram: she is lying, I will give it back. Me: fatime! i will report you a million times!!!!!!!!!! give it back!!!!!!! I know that was weird. I screamed at her until.... there was a point when fawaz had to talk in lebanese for her to give it back. Then I was telling fawaz about what I will do. She didnt give it back. I said: fatime! you have to give it back scammer! you dont know what it feels to be scammed. I will send an email to animal jam HQ saying they should ban you. Fatime: ..... I check my jam-a-gram: letter: Fawaz is lying. the message had my fox hat. I was happy. NEVER FALL FOR THESE!

ReplyDeleteHi I'm thunderwolf8 i once got scamed. I had gotten a orgne rare spiked rist band from the eagle adventure after a day I traded it for a rare headdress I loved it! Then after a few days I traded the headress for a party hat when I went to jamma town ship someone jam a gramed me to send them it for a rare headress I said: why can't we just trade? Tried trading the for it they always said no finally feed up I said" send me the headdress first" the scammer said " no deals off" I tried trading a few more times then they said " send me it now and I will also give my hole outfit" I sighed sent it to them then in return got a pink purse then the scammer logged out I blocked and reported them.
Deletepink purses are beta! and since rare headdresses was once an RIM(rare item Monday) they aren't worth much at all. so you got the better end :D

DeleteOkay, the invisible trade thing isn't a scam. It's just a glitch that happens. If you put your mouse over that invisible item, it says what it is.

DeleteYep it sucks i know another scam its like this: the person makes a new user (so it will say new jammer) they go to pillow room get adopted or adopt someone (they do so with someone with a rare non member item) they ask if they can try that thing on perosn will say r u gonna scam me, the scammer says whats a scam? so then they get item sent it to they members user and then log off.

DeleteI know another. Its called trust trading. They put items theyve scammed before on trade on a storage account, this is naturally done in a small house because its a nonmember and it usually has no furniture. Also they will say "Look its on trade so trust me and i will send it to the winner. So they wait and wait and wait until they know they are trusted then find the rarest trade and then poof its gone, whoever it was that traded what they wanted has now lost whatever theyve traded.
ReplyDeleteRegarding the invisible hack, you can always hover over the items, to see the name tag thing. I am not entirely sure, if you are talking about the hack program actually changing the item name AND picture, but that is one tip.
ReplyDeleteAnother type of scamming is fake items. Some jammers will try to trick you into thinking items are beta, rare, or unreleased. A huge example are the pearly tiaras and the store bought tiara. Very similar, but one has a blue gem and one has a purple one.

DeleteSomeone scammed me recently. They did it by trust trading and they said it was a giveaway at their den. The person had made a new account so it said 'New Jammer', personally I think that was quite smart to do that though. The scammer just kept telling us to trade her to win her list, I traded my beta spaceship gray walls, beta tan flooring, beta planet walls, beta RC car, a pink top hat and rare bow and arrows for the trust trade. She declined the first few times of course, trying to find the best trade for about an hour or so. Then she asked us to each trade once more and then she accepted and locked us out of her den!

another way to scam is say plz gift me i got hacked/scammed. and another way is to say you have a glitched item (come to my den or not) then looks for rarest person offers they accept and boom they scammed you. i hate scamming and hacking

ReplyDeletei scammed once a year ago and i still feel terible about it so i gave away my stuff to my best friend who was a poor jammer and i know her in real life so i seen her account but scamming makes the other end of the computer feel just as bad as the person who is being scammed. I turned myself in and lost my account! I made a new one and started over and now i am rich without scamming!

DeleteHi! I am creativename123. My friend got scammed. I am writing this for her. Basically... Someone (on play wild version) made an attempt to trade her whole Pegasus set for my friend's spiked collar! My friend said yes to accept... and then the scammer had all the items!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I fell for a REALLY bad scam once... look, I've only been scammed a few times, but... that night I was just not thinking straight. Basically... A new jammer had a headdress on trade (a new jammer? SERIOUSLY?) and gathered a few of us to his den. He then put a necklace on trade and said "best trade for the necklace gets the headdress!" I traded all my spikes (I had a lot) and an ArtimisNight masterpiece! I was offered a spike for that one! Anyway,back to the story. We traded all our items... and he locked us out!

Also, Rivval is a HUGE hacker. He can duplicate items such as headdresses, spikes, party hats, everything. He trades you a bunch of headdresses and spikes for a necklace or something like that. You say yes... and everything goes to him! He usually trades you for a spike or headdress. Report Rivval TODAY!!!

I've been trolled many times on AJ on my main Espeonandsylveon account(don't try to buddy me, my requests are off, and all the buddy requests from non-members were driving me CRAZY! That's why I decided to turn off my buddy requests) and I think the people who were trolling me were trying to scam me. But I once got ice tail armor at a trading party, which completes my Glaceon fox's outfit along with a rare sparkly boa that I won along with some other rare from a fashion show, the theme was Kawaii and I used my Sylveon fox, apparently the host thought I was so kawaii(please tell me what Kawaii means) and I won. I recycled the other rare I won, but kept the boa because it completes my Glaceon fox. I also have a Shaymin fox that wears an all non-member outfit, which only consists of two things: a pink head flower and a pair of red, orange, and yellow mystical faerie wings(for the sky forme only), but when it comes to the land form outfit, I usually just have it wear only the head flower. Back to the point though, can someone please answer my question at the top of this comment?

another scam i know about, since i used to be a scammer (not anymore though :) ) is like the one where the new jammer makes trust trade etc, but instead they go to their main acc and play as the main victim. then pretend tht they traded the new jammer somthing really rare and freakout, then the other people give them gifts to substatute for the item they lost and new jammer trades rare item back to main acc and there you have it.
